PUBLIC NOTICE

PROCLAMATION AND NOTICE OF
SOUTH TORRINGTON WATER & SEWER DISTRICT ELECTION
South Torrington Water & Sewer District, Torrington, Wyoming

PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that an election will be held for the South Torrington Water & Sewer District, County of Goshen, State of Wyoming, on Tuesday, November 5 2024. There shall be submitted to the qualified electors of the South Torrington Water & Sewer District the election of two Directors of the District Board.

SPECIAL DISTRICT NONPARTISAN BOARD MEMBERS TO BE ELECTED: 2

2 South Torrington Water & Sewer District Board Members to each serve: 4-year term

The polls will open at 7:00 a.m. and will close at 7:00 p.m. on the day of the election. Pursuant to the Water and Sewer District Law and the Special District Elections Act, any elector of the South Torrington Water & Sewer District shall be entitled to vote in the election of the District Board Members.

“Elector” means:
(1) a real property owner within the District; or
(2) a natural person who:
(A) Is a citizen of the United States;
(B) Is a bona fide resident of the District;
(C) Will be at least eighteen (18) years of age on the day of the election;
(D) Is not currently adjudicated mentally incompetent;
(E) Has not been convicted of a felony, or, if so convicted, has had his civil or voting rights restored; and

(F) Has registered to vote.

Absentee ballots will be available at the South Torrington Water & Sewer District office between September 23, 2024 and November 4, 2024. The STWS District office is located at 371 East 6th Avenue, Torrington, Wyoming.

All votes shall be cast on paper ballots. If you require assistance to vote by reason of blindness, disability, or inability to read or write, you may be given assistance by a person of your choice. The polling place is the Rendezvous Center at the Goshen County Fair Grounds, Fair Grounds Road, Torrington, Wyoming, 82240.

Individuals interested in serving as a Director can complete an application at the South Torrington Water & Sewer District office. Applications are to be completed between August 10, 2024 and August 29, 2024.
